Boot Camp and Rehab is another option in the dog training process.  This style of training is appealing to some for a multitude of reasons. Many people find they do not have the time, skill, knowledge, patience, or inclination to do any of the dog training themselves.  Some folks simply want to send the dog away and have him trained so they do not have to deal with the day to day shenanigans the dog has to offer. Others need to send the dog away because the problems have reached a point they can no longer address in the home.

Training the dog at boot camp eliminates the middleman.  The dog lives with the trainer for a set amount of time depending on the level of obedience to be achieved.  This type of training at Dogworks is done in the home of the trainer and not in a kennel. Boarding and training is the very best training you can provide in terms of learning, because the dog spends 24 hours a day with the trainer who understands his every need and can bring him to his full potential.  It is however still the RESPONSIBILITY of the OWNER to learn about their dog and we insure that very thing happens when the dog is returned to you.  We ALWAYS schedule follow up lessons in YOUR home to apply what your dog has learned in our home.

In cases of EXTREME behavior problems or temperament flaws, this style of training may be the ONLY form of training to save the dogs life.  The average person’s safety may be in danger of the offending dog and therefore the dog has no other option.    As with in-home training, boot camp training provides a custom program for each particular dog.  Although this is the most costly avenue, in most cases it will give you the highest level of training for your dog.
